Glen View Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Female Students

-

HARARE – Police have arrested a Glen View High 1 School history teacher accused of indecently assaulting several female students after reportedly luring them into his office under the guise of cleaning duties.

Fisha Mutawarira allegedly developed a pattern of calling female students to clean his office, during which he is said to have touched them inappropriately.

Some students reportedly raised the alarm with school authorities, but no immediate action was taken.

Sources claim that Mutawarira often bragged about being untouchable due to his strong academic performance and high pass rates.

“Authorities turned a blind eye because of the results he produced,” one source said.

“This time, he assaulted a student who knew her rights, and she reported him, leading to his arrest.”

Mutawarira is currently detained at Glen View Police Station under case number RRB 6465780.

He is expected to appear in court today.

Efforts to reach Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza for comment were unsuccessful by the time of publication.

The case has raised concerns among parents and education advocates, who are calling for stronger child protection measures and accountability within schools.
