The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Moses Mhike, on Monday signed five memoranda of understanding with civil society and regulatory partners to expand programs in Zimbabwe’s schools.
The ministry named the partners as Delight Anesu Organisation, Zimbabwe Sunshine Group, Childline Zimbabwe, Bantwana Zimbabwe and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZim).
In a separate statement, SECZim said its agreement “aims to boost financial literacy for primary and secondary learners through teacher training and learner activities tied to the capital markets.”
The ministry did not immediately release full texts of the agreements or timelines for rollout.
Childline provides nationwide child-protection and counselling services; Bantwana supports vulnerable learners and school-based safeguarding; and Zimbabwe Sunshine Group runs environmental stewardship and waste-management education.
